Luis is a regular collaborator for publications such as Expansión, the Financial Times, Business Law Europe, and the European Business Brief, amongst other British and Spanish legal magazines.He frequently lectures on mergers and acquisitions, media and telecommunications issues.
Luis has represented UNILEVER, NESTLE, BOEING, TYCO, SHELL, REPSOL, ICI and AKZO NOBEL. In the Banking, Energy and Project Finance sectors, he has represented SHELL, EGL AG, AXPO, IBERDROLA, GAS NATURAL FENOSA, ISOLUX CORSÁN, BANKIA, BANCO SABADELL, RED ELÉCTRICA and OPERADORA DEL MERCADO DE LA ELECTRICIDAD. He has also advised the Spanish Government (for example, with the IPO of EASS, the parent company of Airbus Industries) amongst other Spanish public institutions; the European Union, and also prestigious companies in the media and entertainment industry such as CNN, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, PARAMOUNT PICTURES, SONY, CABLE & WIRELESS and UNIVERSAL PICTURES. In the technology sector he has advised, amongst others, PHILIPS, CISCO SYSTEMS, DELL, MICROSOFT and TELEFONICA. He advised on a Joint Venture with Salomón Brothers and Arthur D. Little, and advised the Spanish Government on the process of preparing and awarding a second license to the telecommunications operator GSM.
Luis obtained his Law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
